The Position

As a department head with us, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new department with a major impact on the energy systems of the future. The department plays a central role in creating structure, direction, and long-term development for the entire heating operations and will be a key driving force in business development, strategic planning, and the development of the energy systems of the future.

You will be responsible for establishing and developing a department with a high level of specialized expertise in business development, strategic system development, fuel, and engineering issues. The role involves responsibility for personnel, operations, and the budget, as well as close collaboration with other managers, the operations organization, and the business’s management team.

The role includes leading and coordinating the business’s development initiatives, establishing clear procedures for prioritization and follow-up, and ensuring that development efforts lead to tangible business and operational benefits. You will drive the long-term development of the energy system, including efforts to increase the share of waste heat—a central part of the transition toward a more sustainable and resource-efficient energy system. You will also have overall responsibility for fuel strategy and fuel procurement. Additionally, you will drive the company’s digitalization and AI initiatives, with a focus on creating more efficient work processes and better decision support.

You will become part of an organization in an exciting phase of development, where you will have the opportunity to influence the organization, its work methods, and its future direction. Together with an experienced team of specialists, you will lay the groundwork for an even more sustainable, commercially viable, and future-proof energy system.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Skellefteå. Start date to be agreed upon. Travel is required, including to operations in other locations and conferences.

You challenge existing work methods, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive development forward. At the same time, you plan and structure your work in a way that creates clarity and a long-term perspective for both the business and your colleagues.
