We are currently looking for an electrical maintenance engineer for Värme Kustland.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Who We Are

At Skellefteå Kraft, we’re committed to making Sweden’s energy transition a reality. We’re driving the production of renewable energy and the electrification of society. We also power everyday life and society. Like keeping preschools warm when parents drop off their children in the morning and keeping hospitals and industries running around the clock. And we do it together as a team, where skilled colleagues support and help each other grow.

Would you like to join us?

The Position

As a maintenance engineer, you’ll be responsible for electrical work at Värme Kustland and will play a key role in ensuring safe, well-functioning, and efficient production facilities. You’ll work closely with both maintenance and operations, report to the maintenance team leader, and represent the department in electrical matters both internally and externally.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for electrical safety and actively work to ensure safety in accordance with ESA standards. You will plan electrical maintenance work, oversee electrical connections during high-voltage work, and hold technical responsibility for electrical power in projects. You will participate in heating projects where you are responsible for the electrical aspects and will manage and lead projects involving high- and low-voltage systems.

An important part of the role is to plan and continuously carry out systematic preventive maintenance at the facilities. You’ll help streamline maintenance work by participating in planning for production shutdowns and maintenance windows using our FU program. You will document and follow up on completed maintenance tasks and plans, and work in Idus’s maintenance system and with documentation in Masterconcept, among other tasks.

You will also liaise with internal and external contractors, supervise contractors during electrical work and inspections, and work on optimizing production facilities and site surveys locally.

You’ll become part of Värme Kustland, a business with extensive experience in building and operating heating systems. Here, we work together to create profitable public benefits and help make Skellefteå Municipality an attractive place to live and work. At the same time, we are facing an exciting future with new opportunities for the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Skellefteå. On-call duty may be required. Start date to be agreed upon.

Interested

To thrive and succeed as a maintenance engineer (electrical), you need to be self-motivated and take responsibility for driving your work forward. You identify opportunities for improvement and actively develop work methods, processes, and procedures. At the same time, you work in a structured manner according to standardized procedures, plan ahead, and have the ability to anticipate problems.

The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with colleagues in both maintenance and operations, as well as with contractors. Therefore, you need to enjoy working with people who have different skill sets, share your own expertise, and create opportunities for others to contribute. For us, it’s important that we support one another and achieve results together.

The work may involve complex situations and conditions that aren’t always entirely clear. You therefore need to be able to maintain structure and confidence in your own abilities when challenges arise, and adapt your approach to the situation. You take personal responsibility, but at the same time recognize the value of involving others and driving issues forward together.
