The Position
As an operations technician with us, you’ll have a varied and independent role where you contribute to safe and reliable district heating deliveries. You’ll work on the installation and maintenance of district heating culverts, meter reading management, and customer service. The role also includes troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and servicing of customer facilities, as well as the management and inspection of heat meters.
You’ll play a key role in interacting with our customers, handling everything from troubleshooting and service agreements to the installation of smart heating solutions. Documentation, data collection, and liaising with contractors are also part of your daily routine. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our work methods and technical solutions.
You’ll be part of the distribution team within the Inland Heating department, which consists of a total of 18 employees and is responsible for heating systems and distribution networks in five locations in the inland region of Västerbotten. The distribution team consists of five operations technicians with different areas of responsibility. We value personal responsibility and independence, while also working together on problem-solving and projects. You’ll also have the support of project managers and support functions in Skellefteå.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Lycksele. The role covers a geographic service area with multiple locations, and the position may require on-call availability. The desired start date is March 1, 2027.

Requirements
• Associate’s degree in Operations Technology (YH) or experience equivalent to the knowledge provided by the program
• Several years of relevant work experience
• Class B driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
• Training in electrical work and/or HVAC.
• Relevant work experience from a similar role or set of duties.
• Experience working with various IT systems and software.
• Strong digital skills
• Strong technical skills and practical technical knowledge.
• BE driver’s license
• Certified in roadwork
• Hot Work certification
