The Position

 As a hydropower operations technician, you’ll perform operations and maintenance work at hydropower plants and substations. You’ll also participate in new construction and renovation projects at hydroelectric power plants and be responsible for contracted assignments and tasks. In your work, you’ll follow applicable policies, laws, and procedures and report to the team leader.

You’ll have a varied job that requires versatility across several technical areas. The work involves, among other things, low- and high-voltage electrical equipment, control systems, mechanics, and hydraulics, as well as documentation in maintenance systems. An important part of the job is also contributing to continuous improvements and efficiency gains. You will be part of a department with approximately 70 employees responsible for operations and maintenance work at Skellefteå Kraft’s facilities in the area.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Arjeplog. On-call duty is included, and temporary assignments in other locations, involving overnight stays, may occur. The desired start date is negotiable.

Requirements

 • Class B driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

 • Education in mechanics, hydraulics, or electrical engineering

• Associate’s degree in hydropower or equivalent expertise

• Experience with maintenance work in hydropower
