The service
As a project and investigation engineer, you will work with investigations and network development plans based on major connections and network changes, mainly in the regional network.
You will work in various projects, where you contribute with your expertise as a technical specialist. You will provide analyses, investigations and support in major electricity network projects. You make network calculations and selective plans. There are challenges in the work, including the implementation of new technologies and innovative solutions. You are involved in the green transition by working on the connection of new production and non-linear consumption. You work proactively on technical issues.
We are responsible for the monitoring of the electricity network and the position includes being able to participate as an operating engineer on duty in daily operations, and in emergency situations. Overtime may be required.
With us, you will be part of Electricity Network Operations, which today consists of eleven engineers. You will be one of several project and investigation engineers who work closely together in a project-oriented manner. The department handles varied tasks such as selective plans, network calculations, power quality, operating orders, testing and commissioning and fault analyses. We manage and develop our support systems.
At Skellefteå Kraft Elnät, we have a standardized way of working and we work continuously with continuous improvements, according to deviation-based change work.
The service is a permanent full-time position with employment in Skellefteå.

We are looking for you who are analytical, structured and thorough in your work. As a person, you are driven and curious and have very good collaboration skills.
Requirements
- University education in electrical power or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
Meritorious
- Training in Mathlab, Python and other calculation programs such as PSS/E, Power Factory and PSCAD.
- Knowledge of modeling of power system components.
- Experience of working on power projects, selective plans, network studies and network code requirements.
- Experience in monitoring work, preparation of operating orders and network calculations.
- Experience with ESA and EBR.
- Good computer skills.
