Your work assignments
As a responsible bus driver in Malå, you help traveling people to travel in a sustainable way both at work and in their leisure time. 80 percent of the position includes work as a bus driver and 20 percent as site manager.
The service means that you will drive regional traffic. You are responsible for providing a high level of service to travelers and ensure that both passengers and fellow road users feel safe during the journey. The position involves, among other things, responsibility for meeting the bus line's stop times, but also for handling the situations that arise if weather or traffic causes problems. You manage the sale of bus passes and tickets on board.
As site manager, you are responsible for making easier service on the buses, booking inspections and emptying tachographs, etc. You are responsible for arranging replacements in case of absence, reporting on deviations and bringing statistics on fuel consumption to the head office in Skellefteå. The position involves communication with internal and external actors to ensure efficient operations. As site manager, this means that you have responsibility for the buses (3 pieces) and garages in Malå according to current laws and internal procedures. You will also be responsible for inventorying and maintaining garages according to the ISO 14001 standard and bus washing.
You work during the day Monday to Friday. The position refers to permanent, full-time employment. In the case of permanent employment, Skellefteå bus applies a 6-month probationary period.
In order to work as a bus driver and site manager in Malå, driver training with a D driving license and a valid driver's license (YKB) is required. You should have a few years of work experience as a bus driver. We like that you have a technical interest and have a basic knowledge of buses. Since the position involves a lot of contact with both internal and external actors, you as a person should have good cooperation skills and we would like to see that you are good at creating and maintaining good relationships. You apply a structured way of working to achieve good quality in the business and are comfortable working independently.
The position requires you to be fluent in spoken and written Swedish. As the role places high demands on the level of service, we are looking for someone who has a pleasant and professional demeanor and is welcoming and helpful to other people. You are punctual and have the ability to work calmly and efficiently even in stressful situations.
