The model must be able to be used to plan interventions and future constructions based on facts about the population and target groups. Our activities in the area of ​​culture and leisure include Skellefteå municipality's leisure parks, libraries, inclusion work and association life, operation of swimming and leisure facilities, cultural school, outdoor gym, exercise and ski tracks, sports fields and ice rinks as well as the implementation of large and small cultural events. WORK DUTIES As a development manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of an analysis model based on geographic information. The model must be visualized in the municipality's GIS platform (Geographic Information System) and be a support in the administration's planning work. Your work will be based on demographic data, existing infrastructure and the specific behaviors and needs of priority target groups. By using this model, you can help create a more efficient and well-functioning community service. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are students at university level, preferably with a focus on physical planning, GIS engineer, community planner, cultural geographer or similar education that is considered equivalent. You have a basic understanding of analysis methods and knowledge of their implementation. You have experience with GIS or similar tools and can analyze geographic data and create maps. You have knowledge in data modeling and data processing, and you have experience in handling demographic data and understand basic statistical concepts. With your good communication skills in Swedish, you can explain complex analyzes and results in an understandable way to others in the administration. If you also have insight into the needs and challenges that the municipality faces, that is a plus. You are methodical and can handle complex tasks that you are faced with. You see logic and connections in complex information and have an ability to solve problems without losing focus on long-term strategies. You are open to other people's perspectives and contribute to good collaboration to in turn create effective results. You are used to working according to a clear process and quickly find solutions to problems that arise. OTHER The Culture and Leisure Office works to ensure that facilities, outdoor activities, leisure farms, association support, camping sites and cultural and library activities function as well as possible for everyone who lives and works in the whole of Skellefteå.
