As unit manager for the collection of household waste, together with 12 employees, you ensure that all households within Skellefteå central town and the surrounding area have their household waste and packaging collected. You are also responsible for the collection functioning in the outer areas of the municipality where the collection takes place via a contractor. In addition, together with your employees, you are involved in building a completely new collection system where packaging, in addition to food and residual waste, must be sorted and collected close to the property of all the municipality's households. Collection of food and residual waste also takes place at external customers in the form of companies and businesses. Here, too, you are involved in building a system that follows new collection rules, part of which is to introduce the four-compartment bins. As unit manager for household waste collection, you are expected to drive the unit towards sustainable waste management with the customer in focus. You have the overall responsibility for leading and developing operations, finances and your employees through trust-based leadership. The work also includes building collaborations with other units in order to reach the common goals of the business. You work together with and are part of the business's management team. To succeed in the assignment, you need to be responsive and meet our customers' needs. Together with the employees, you want to drive development forward in the entire waste business and specifically in the unit recycling centers and landfill. We also work for sustainable waste management, and you have an important role in that. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with experience as a manager or leader. You have an interest in waste management and environmental issues in general. We see that you have a university education and work experience in leadership. Equivalent knowledge such as university education may have been acquired through work experience. As a leader and person, you are safe, stable and committed. You feel comfortable facing and dealing with situations where others do not think exactly as you do and have the ability to resolve differences of opinion in a constructive way. You are good at building relationships and collaborating with different parties. We assume that you can make yourself understood both orally and in writing in Swedish. As a person, you need to be communicative and have the ability to create participation and commitment. You are curious, driven by challenges and try to see the positive. It is natural for you to work with a coaching leadership and to have faith in the individual's own abilities. To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, well organized and have the ability to prioritize correctly. It is advantageous if you have experience with EDP future. You also have good computer skills. Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities. B driving license is a requirement.
