As a forklift operator in the warehouse at Smurfit Westrock Piteå, you’ll primarily be responsible for loading and unloading our paper according to the current loading schedule. You’ll inspect and prepare load carriers and ensure that loads are properly secured. We also place great emphasis on delivery quality, with the customer at the center of our focus. Your responsibilities will also include providing load-securing materials, inspecting packaging, and relabeling items when necessary. The role may also involve assisting with simple maintenance tasks or performing them yourself as needed.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with a 3-year high school diploma, preferably in Transportation, Technology, or Natural Sciences. You should be comfortable using various technical tools, as the position involves working with different software programs, computers, and communication equipment. Since you’ll be collaborating with many others, you maintain a high level of service and recognize the value in each other’s differences, knowledge, and job roles. You enjoy working as part of a team but are also capable of working independently, taking full responsibility for your tasks and ensuring high-quality results. Working in a safe manner is a given in your professional practice. A Class B driver’s license is required, and a counterbalance forklift operator’s certificate for vehicles up to 10 metric tons is a plus.

This is a temporary position, scheduled to run from September 2026 to April 2027.
