Are you an engineer who wants to work strategically, evolving and with the future in mind? Smurfit Westrock is looking for new colleagues to help us move forward!
The work of a Production Engineer is varied and involves leading projects in production in terms of new equipment, methods and processes.
It can be about small detail improvements as well as major remodeling in the process. You will carry out process investigations, prepare and implement training initiatives and help with troubleshooting, problem solving and deviation management, among other things. Work environment and safety are a value in our business and permeate all our work, so these issues are also included in your tasks.
Does this sound like an exciting role, but you're not sure if it's right for you? We are also looking for an engineer who wants to contribute to the development of world-class maintenance! If you are a technically curious and analytical engineer who wants to work with long-term availability, data-driven improvement work and life cycle optimization of our fixed assets, we may have a suitable role for you too!
Your background
We are looking for you who are a civil engineer or have other education and experience that we consider equivalent. Furthermore, you have a few years of relevant work experience, and some form of experience in the production or process industry, preferably in pulp / paper technology. As we are an international group, it is required that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
As a person, you are communicative and thrive in collaboration. You are driven by achieving set goals, are enterprising and flexible to change and take independent responsibility for solving tasks. You are attracted to working close to production and need to thrive in the production environment while being able to work strategically to develop our future production.
