Fryal school is idyllically located approx. 2 km south of Hov center with proximity to Randsfjorden and is built together with Søndre Land middle school. It is the largest primary school in the municipality, with around 260 pupils. We have a good and supportive working environment with lots of laughter!

Facts about the position:

• Fryal school is looking for a teacher in a 100% permanent position with expertise in language education, preferably in 1st - 4th grade.

Tasks

• Contribute to a good reading and language education, both for school starters, minority language learners and students with language and reading difficulties
• Provide students with good academic guidance so that they experience mastery
• Map and follow up the student's development academically and socially
• Document the student's progress against goals and measures
• Contribute to the school's efforts to create a safe and good learning environment
• Contribute to a good school-home collaboration

Requirements:

• Fulfill the Education Act's requirements for appointment and teaching skills at the primary level
• Experience with literacy training
• Good ICT skills
• Good literacy skills in Norwegian

Should requirements:

• Have experience from COS el. which is about seeing each individual student, recognizing their feelings and helping them deal with challenges
• Language and reading tutor skills
• Interest in outdoor school and the use of nature as a learning arena

• A valid police certificate (pursuant to Section 17-11 of the Education Act, cf. Section 39, first paragraph of the Police Register Act) must be submitted before starting work.

• Applicants with education from abroad must have approval from the Directorate for Higher Education and Competence (HK-dir) in order to be employed in a permanent position.
• Certified copies of diplomas and certificates must be presented at interviews and upon request.
