Fryal school is idyllically located approx. 2 km south of Hov center with proximity to Randsfjorden and is built together with Søndre Land middle school. The school was built in 1952 and completely renovated in 2006.

Position:

  • Fryal school has 2 x 50% vacancies as a skilled worker preferably in SFO. Working hours are spread over 4-5 days per week
  • Some work at SFO must be expected during school holidays.

Work tasks:

  • Organize and initiate varied and inclusive play and learning activities indoors and outdoors
  • Take responsibility for organizing different activity groups at SFO and follow up individual children and student groups
  • Develop students' academic and social skills
  • Build positive relationships with children, and show interest in each individual child and their situation
  • Mediate conflict situations and help children find good solutions themselves
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents

Requirements:

  • Professional certificate as a child and youth worker or equivalent education
  • You must have very good Norwegian language skills, both oral and written
  • Have experience working with children of primary school age with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders and Down's syndrome
  • Have experience in the prevention and management of challenging and/or acting out behavior in children of primary school age

Requirements:

  • Experience from COS or similar that is about seeing each individual student, recognizing their feelings and helping them deal with challenges.
