The kitchen has 7.8 full-time equivalents. The Hovlitunet kitchen and cafeteria is a well-run and stable department. We are an organization open to change, ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges, and actively working to find effective solutions.
The kitchen is also responsible for operating the cafeteria located in the care center; it is well-attended and offers a great selection to residents, staff, and visitors.
Job Details:
- We’re looking for someone with an interest in food and kitchen work who wants to help create great dining experiences for our residents.
- Kitchen Assistant/Dining Room Attendant in a 60% permanent position
- Working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Training will be provided
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing and setting up food and meals
- Serving and arranging meals
- Duties related to the mailroom role
- Cleaning the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
- Washing dishes and tidying up
- Following hygiene and food safety procedures
- Other tasks naturally associated with kitchen operations
Requirements:
- No educational requirements, but experience from institutional kitchens or commercial kitchens is a plus
- Good Norwegian language skills—both written and spoken
Recommended requirements:
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food handling
