A very important tool for our municipality is map services and our data basis. With the responsibility for our geographic information systems, you help to develop and maintain the systems.

Facts about the position

Søndre Land municipality needs to get a better data basis in the cadastre, our databases and in external bases.

We are looking for applicants with experience from, and education in one or more of the fields of GIS, planning and map knowledge, map and surveying subjects and planning education with GIS specialization.

The position will have work tasks for several technical departments and land management, including responsibility for the control and updating of various technical databases and planning data. Regulations on maps and location-based information will be central. The position is not assigned case manager tasks or traditional support function.

GIS consultant with us is a 100% permanent position. The workplace is at the department for land management, at the Town Hall in Hov.

The purpose is, among other things, to achieve the following goals:

• Shorter case processing time for planning, surveying and building
• Good analyzes to improve the knowledge base in case processing
• Better data basis in the organization
• That GIS is a natural part of the municipality's emergency response work

Work tasks

• Data collection, mapping, controls, updates, analysis and system development.
• Collect, model (analyze and visualize) geographic data to solve problems, improve decision-making and streamline case management
• Matricle improvement - the municipality is working on the introduction of property tax
• File lists from the Norwegian Mapping Authority, improve cases for building and surveying
• Vegdatabanken - minor updates
• Water and sewage networks, registration and map basis for pipe networks, KomTek and Gemini
• Condition reports, maintenance plans, building lists, internal control and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Relevant university or college education.
• Other formal competence or particularly relevant practice can compensate for the educational requirement
• Very good digital skills including computer literacy
• Good oral and very good written presentation skills in Norwegian
• Driver's license class B
• The ability and motivation to learn software quickly

Requirements

• Knowledge of Gemini, ISY GIS, Komtek, BIM models
• Experience with cadastral work
• FDV documentation
• Knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, administrative law and public administration
