Description of workplace.

Bjørkelunden is an institutional ward with full-time staffing, located in our care center at Hov, opened June 2021. The department has 24 places - 16 for people with dementia and 8 for people with disabilities. Here you will find a separate sensory garden, modern facilities and a strong professional environment with a focus on person-centered care and welfare technology.

Facts about the position:

  • 100 % + 90 % permanent position as a nurse/nursing assistant
  • Working hours: Shift work with work every 4th weekend (more often if desired)
  • Salary as: Nurse with position code 7174 or Nurse with position code 6455

Tasks:

As a nurse at Bjørkelunden, you will have a varied and meaningful working day, where you get to use the full breadth of your professional expertise. You will be a key person in the department, with responsibility for both direct patient contact and professional development.

  • Nursing responsibility for residents, including observation, assessment, documentation and follow-up of health status
  • Performance of procedures and technical nursing tasks such as sampling, medication management and wound management
  • Responsibility for medical visits, including preparation, participation and follow-up of measures
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with GP, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and other municipal agencies
  • Environmental work and person-centered care for people with dementia and disabilities
  • Use of welfare technology and digital tools to ensure quality and efficiency in the services
  • Supervision and teaching of colleagues, pupils and students
  • Participation in TID reflection and professional discussions for continuous improvement
  • Planning and coordination of services in collaboration with residents and relatives, with a focus on user participation
  • Contributing to development and innovation, including testing new methods and improvement work
  • Resource management, with responsibility for professionally sound and efficient use of available resources

Requirements:

  • Authorization as a nurse/nurse practitioner
  • We encourage college students with expected authorization in the summer of 2025 to apply.
  • Be fluent in written and oral Norwegian with good presentation skills
  • Can use ICT as a work tool

Requirements:

  • Additional education in geriatrics, palliation, clinical nursing or environmental therapy
  • Experience from similar work
  • Knowledge of Gerica and GAT
