SpareBank 1 Østlandet is expanding its focus on agriculture and is seeking an Agriculture Manager for the Buskerud, Asker, and Bærum market area. We’re looking for someone with knowledge of the agricultural sector who wants to actively work to bring in new customers for the bank.
Over time, the bank has built up significant expertise in agriculture. You will be an important part of our agricultural team at the bank.

At the same time, you have a strong understanding of credit and are analytical. Your responsibilities are varied and range from building relationships with customers to conducting credit analyses and monitoring loan portfolios.
The position reports to the Regional Director in Oslo/Akershus/Buskerud.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsibility for and development of your own customer portfolio consisting of agricultural customers in the region.
- Case review including credit assessments and analyses, and preparation of credit files for decision-making at your own level or by higher management.
- Contribute to value creation for our customers in collaboration with the bank’s other product areas and subsidiaries.
- Build relationships with existing and new customers to strengthen the bank’s position. Help build the bank’s brand.
- Represent the bank in various industry forums.
- Outreach and proactive engagement with new and existing agricultural customers.
Qualifications
- Relevant education in agriculture and economics at the bachelor’s or master’s level. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
- Strong understanding of accounting; analytical and organized with experience using modeling tools for analysis.
- Expertise in or interest in digital solutions so you can guide customers in using the bank’s solutions.
- Relevant experience from, for example, the financial sector, auditing, or other business activities within the agricultural industry
- Good knowledge of the business community and agriculture in the region.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
