The Data and Insight department currently consists of 13 employees who deliver the entire value chain, from source to value (Insight), to all business areas in the bank. Everything from data load, historicization and facilitation of data to analysis, reporting, visualization, data product development and insight distribution. We are a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about data, insights and technology. Here we use technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, dlthub and dbt cloud, and as a data engineer you will be part of the transformation and influence the direction so that we succeed.

Tasks

  • Design, develop and operate solutions from internal and external sources for use in production and analysis (data delivered in batch, real time and API).
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in projects and activities initiated by staff and business.
  • Be part of a development team that develops, manages and operates the bank's data platform.
  • Assist business areas and staffs in gaining insights through facilitation, reporting and data deliveries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams responsible for the facilitation and development of data products.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience or more, within data engineering, data warehousing, or equivalent.
  • Good competence in SQL.
  • Set-up of modern data platform. We have chosen AWS and Snowflake as our data platform technology, experience in other cloud technologies is relevant.
  • Knowledge of the banking/finance industry is an advantage.
  • At SpareBank 1 Østlandet we have Norwegian as our working language - good Norwegian skills are therefore a prerequisite for working with us.
  • Higher education in computer science and/or economics.
