The Chief Compliance Officer plays a key role in the bank's efforts to ensure effective and satisfactory compliance with regulatory framework conditions. This will help to ensure that strategic and business objectives are realized, while safeguarding the bank's reputation. The role involves leading and further developing the compliance department with the areas of responsibility assigned at any given time, in line with applicable laws and regulations, as well as decisions and guidelines from the board and CEO. The position is centrally located in the bank and offers exciting challenges and good development opportunities.
Duties
- Development and maintenance of the Group's framework for management and control of compliance risk and business conduct risk.
- Reporting and follow-up of the bank's compliance risk and business conduct risk.
- Develop, maintain and improve methodology for risk assessments, control, testing, analysis, documentation and reporting of compliance risk and business conduct risk.
- Conduct operational compliance controls, including recommendations for any necessary improvement measures.
- Assess any measures implemented to remedy non-compliance with the regulations.
- Provide advice and guidance on the Group's obligations under laws and regulations to the Group's management and employees.
- The bank's compliance officer in the area of money laundering and terrorist financing, cf. Section 35 of the Money Laundering Act.
- Responsibility for the daily operation and development of the compliance department.
- Personal responsibility for the employees in the compliance department.
Qualifications
- Higher economic or legal education (master's level).
- Experience from relevant work areas within banking/finance.
- Leadership experience.
- Good knowledge of Norwegian and English.
