We are looking for a curious and business-oriented Data Scientist who wants to help SpareBank 1 Østlandet succeed in creating good customer relationships, innovate on our products and strengthen our competitiveness.

The Data & Analytics department is part of the Technology and Development division. Here you will work with the concept of customer insight in a broad sense and with solutions within customer dialog, credit risk, pricing, operational improvements, product and service development. As an employee of SpareBank 1 Østlandet, you will also have a unique opportunity to interact with similar environments, data scientists and analysts throughout the SpareBank 1 Alliance.


Tasks

  • Develop and process data for analytical purposes
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Develop analytical models using, among other things, machine learning, implement and maintain these
  • Visualize and communicate findings
  • Be proactive in proposing new approaches and applications for the use of advanced methods
  • Teamwork/project work/project management in close collaboration with other units and business areas

Qualifications

  • University or college education (master's degree or higher) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Informatics, IT, Computer Science or Economics with a focus on quantitative analysis
  • Solid technology and programming skills in Python and additionally SQL
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD frameworks through the development of data products
  • Must be able to combine business understanding with broad technical knowledge
  • Experience from banking and insurance will be a plus
  • You must be able to communicate fluently in Norwegian orally and in writing
