The work against financial crime has high priority in the SpareBank 1 Østlandet Group. The bank's professional environment in the Financial Crime Department consists of employees with interdisciplinary backgrounds and solid experience. The department is organized in the Quality and Financial Crime division. The department is responsible for preventing and detecting money laundering, terrorist financing and attempts to circumvent sanctions regulations.
The position of Head of Financial Crime will have its main responsibility towards the bank's private market customers and will lead a team that primarily works to detect and prevent financial crime in this customer group.
The workplace for the position is Hamar and you will report to the Head of Financial Crime.
Tasks
- Lead a team tasked with handling alerts in the bank's automated transaction monitoring system
- Case management, investigation, customer processing and reporting of suspicious transactions to Økokrim
- Development of routines and other governing documents
- Be a resource person for the business areas to ensure good customer control
- Assist in employee training
- Participate in projects within the subject area, with a focus on automation, digitization and use of machine learning
Qualifications
- Leadership experience
- Relevant college or university education at a minimum of bachelor's level
- Strong interest and motivation to work in the field
- Basic understanding and interest in financial crime
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good business understanding
