Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

You will mainly work with preventive maintenance and condition checks of all existing electrical equipment and drive systems in the field and are therefore an important cog in the preventive maintenance work at SSAB Borlänge.

  • Plan service and order repairs of all existing electrical equipment.
  • Measurement technology and condition monitoring of electrical equipment are also included in the work.

About you

  • We are looking for you who have an upper secondary degree in electricity, automation, control technology or drive systems.
  • You have previous work experience from the role of automation electrician, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • B driving license and very good knowledge of Swedish and English are also considered requirements for the position.
  • If you have specific knowledge or experience of AC/DC operations, this is an advantage.
  • Experience with networks and IT systems is desirable, but not a requirement.
  • As a person, you are careful and structured.
  • You believe in the value of collaboration, but can also work and drive your tasks independently.
  • You take initiative and have a good ability to communicate clearly and easily, both internally and externally.
  • Last but not least, you need to be a problem solver who can analyze information and find solutions to the challenges that arise.
