Do you want to help shape the new steel industry of the future? We are now starting to build the organization for our new hot and cold rolling mill. Initially, we are looking for six automation technicians for production in both the Hot and Cold Flow departments. An important part of your work will be to build up your own role, network and contribute to the design of our new facilities. You will be an important interface between the existing operations organization and the Transformation Office and also in some cases equipment suppliers. Location Luleå.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
SSAB is in an expansive phase and is expanding for the future with several investments and rebuilds.
As an automation technician, you are a key person in the work towards a higher degree of digitalized, condition-based maintenance. Your assignments may include upgrades to existing systems, construction of new systems, and projects linked to maintenance and the production process - sometimes with a leading and coordinating role. It can also include everything from system architecture, expert roles, design and system engineering to installation, testing and commissioning of PLC, HMI and SCADA. All this depending on experience, interest and assignment.
We value both your technical and social skills as well as your collaborative skills and curiosity for technology. A key to success in the role is that you are easy to build both internal and external networks.
