About the service

The task of the maintenance section is to provide competent and efficient maintenance services to ensure a high operational availability of our facility and production equipment.

Automation technicians on maintenance are locally organized/placed and collaborate at all organizational levels within production.

At SSAB, we have a group-organized way of working, which places demands on your and the work group's ability to independently drive the work process from planning to execution and follow-up.

The role of automation technician includes tasks such as preventive maintenance, deeper troubleshooting, error analysis and development of existing equipment and systems. As a technician in electricity and automation, you are an important cog in the work towards a higher degree of automatic condition-based maintenance. Because you are technically skilled in your field, you are helpful with questions from the entire production organization connected to maintenance.

Working hours are daytime.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Deeper troubleshooting.
  • Fault analyzes and development of existing equipment and systems.

About you

  • We are looking for you who have a technical education in electricity or automation at least high school level.
  • Do you have experience from industry, the process industry or similar activities and have also worked with Siemens S7, ABB AC450, ABB 800xA, ACS600, ACS800, ACS 880, instrument and combustion technology, process meters and AC/DC drives or similar tasks meritorious, but not a requirement.
  • It is also desirable that you have experience with networks and IT systems.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement as documentation and communication with suppliers takes place in these languages.
  • Driving license B is a requirement for the position.
  • You are a meticulous and structured person.
  • To thrive in the role, we believe that you have the ability to work both independently and in a group.
  • You need to be able to take initiative and be the driving force in the work when the situation calls for it.
