Are you the one?

Do you want to be involved in ensuring the operation of one of our most central production units? We are now looking for a dedicated technician for Blast Furnace 3 in Luleå - a key role where you get to combine technical responsibility with close cooperation and development opportunities.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

As a technician at Blast Furnace 3, you work to create the conditions for stable and efficient production around the clock. You are responsible for planning and following up maintenance of critical equipment such as gutters and torpedoes, as well as ensuring that logistics and material flows run smoothly.

When needed, you will also replace the process engineer and handle process-related issues.

Your main responsibilities

  • Planning and follow-up of maintenance for gutters and torpedoes
  • Material orders and logistics for ceramic maintenance
  • Operational support in the tapping hall and around the blast furnace
  • Administrative work and process-related tasks
  • Collaboration with operators, other departments within Råjärn and other units within SSAB
