Do you have experience in machining and CNC programming? Do you also have experience in milling? Then we’re looking for you to join the central workshop at SSAB in Oxelösund!
Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future—in our homes, in the bridges that connect our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we’re proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we’re aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production process and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and thereby contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the Position
SSAB’s machine shop is centrally organized and collaborates with all organizational levels within production. Together, in close cooperation with the production units, we deliver high-quality, specialized services. We are looking for a machine operator for our workshop machinery, tasked with machining components for SSAB’s production equipment. The role involves setting up and programming our Haas and Enshu milling machines using ISO programming. Work on other workshop machinery is also part of the role. We offer a role with significant opportunities for professional development, both within the role itself and throughout the company. You’ll work alongside your colleagues in a friendly team that maintains and develops our facilities.
The work schedule is a 2-shift system.
