Are you the one?

Do you enjoy being right in the thick of things and finding new solutions to various problems? Would you like the opportunity to grow within a company that is leading the transition to fossil-free steel? If so, the role of Support & Service Coordinator in Luleå might be the right fit for you.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future—in our homes, in the bridges that connect our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we’re proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we’re aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production process and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and thereby contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the Position

Over the next few years, SSAB Luleå will be transforming its steel production—one of the largest industrial transformations in modern times. This will entail new conditions and requirements in many different areas.

As a coordinator, you’ll be part of the Support & Service section and serve as a vital link between current operations and the transition project. You are a key player who makes things happen by solving practical tasks that require local knowledge of SSAB Luleå’s work methods, procedures, and communication channels.

This may involve, for example, supporting the onboarding of contractors, ensuring that signage and wayfinding work properly, and establishing the right connections between different functions.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • You’ll be on the ground where things happen, contributing to effective communication and collaboration between production and the transition project
  • You support the organization by developing new or revising existing work methods and procedures
  • Depending on the type and scope of the tasks, you’ll carry them out yourself or commission services from external or internal providers
  • You’ll contribute to a structured approach within the section and ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly

About You

  • You have a flexible mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and can navigate new areas independently. You are action-oriented and ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively
  • As an applicant, you are an open, positive, and responsive team player with a strong ability to collaborate closely with others
  • You thrive on being on-site close to the operations—where the action is. The pace is fast, and the work involves close collaboration with many different departments, which requires organization, communication, and the ability to work well with others
  • A Class B driver’s license and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite are required
  • Since we work in an international environment, you must be able to speak and write both English and Swedish
  • Previous experience in an industrial setting, coordination, or project management is a plus
