SSAB - Data Analyst/SAS Developer
Oxelösund, Sverige
Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Data Analyst
Work model On location
Application due date 30 November 2025
Are you the one?

We are looking for a driven and analytical person who wants to work with data and reporting in a manufacturing industry. You will be a key person in creating, developing and running reports and analysis using SAS tools based on business needs. You will work closely with Production and Quality with several similar business areas where you transform raw data into insights that drive improvements to our business. If you are a person who is passionate about solving problems, enjoys providing service, wants to share your knowledge and be part of our journey towards fossil-free steel production, this could be the role for you. Welcome with your application! Location Oxelösund.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

In the role of System Developer, you will support our senior unique users inside the production with, among other things, creating new reports, monitoring production data, process data and quality outcomes. You will also work closely with our DataWare house team who manage Oracle and PowerBI among others. Although in this role you are an expert in your own field, it is important that you want to see the big picture and enjoy learning new things and taking in other perspectives.

This is an exciting role where you get the opportunity to make a business difference, not just work in the technical. You will navigate close to the business in an organization that values analysis and quality and be part of a team with high competence. You will report directly to the Head of IT Oxelösund.

Selection and interviews are ongoing during the application period.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics in our SAS environment.
  • Manage large amounts of data from the manufacturing industry - e.g. production data, quality data, logistics flows or warehouses and subcontractors.
  • Create and optimize ETL flows, data models and automated processes to ensure data quality and availability.
  • Interact with the business - production, operations, quality, business support - to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Document solutions, ensure solutions are maintainable and act as reporting/analytics support for the business.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and automation through analysis and tools.

About you

  • You have good skills in SAS (or other equivalent tool environment) and are confident working in multiple parts of the SAS tool (or are used to handling complex reporting in SAS).
  • Alternatively: You have a proven track record of working with complex reports/analytics solutions in the manufacturing industry involving data flows, production and supply chain.
  • You should be familiar with Base SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Viva.
  • As a person, you are analytical, solution-oriented and used to handling large amounts of data and complex processes.
  • To succeed in the role, you need to have good communication skills to be able to navigate among advanced users and with other data warehouse functions within SSAB.
  • We would like to see that you have a relevant university education or otherwise acquired skills in analysis and data management.
  • It is advantageous if you have many years of experience of analysis work in the manufacturing industry and / or experience of SAS Viva, experience of data warehouse / BI environment.
