The Steel Works Department is looking for an Electrical Technician for the Maintenance EL/IT section. You work to improve the unit's operational stability and develop the preventive maintenance required to keep the facility in good condition, based on existing requirements for quality and cost.

About the service

As production takes place around the clock, high demands are placed on operational stability. You will follow up the operation of the facility and plan improved measures, as well as measures in the event of errors and deficiencies.

Together with the maintenance organization, you will decide on maintenance of the facility and be a support for the electrical/IT manager, electrician, instrument technician, automation technician and maintenance planner on the unit. Another important task will be to draw up and develop a long-term maintenance plan. You are also expected to participate in technical projects, development projects and problem-solving assignments within the current area of ​​responsibility.

The department delivers qualified maintenance services in close collaboration with Production. As an Electrical Technician for Operation Maintenance el/it, you are directly subordinate to the el/it manager. The group consists of automation technicians, instrument technicians, electricians and electrical technicians.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Follow up the facility's function and plan improved measures, as well as measures in the event of errors and deficiencies.
  • Decide on maintenance of the facility, as well as act as a support for various roles on the unit.
  • Participate in various projects and problem-solving assignments.
  • Develop activities and processes to support the company's strategies and objectives, as well as create conditions for well-being and job satisfaction.

About you

  • We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education with a specialization in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience. You must have adequate authorization for electrical work in industry and have the ambition to develop as an electrical technician.
  • Your personal qualities are of great importance. As a person, you are open, positive and responsive with a good ability to work with people in close dialogue. You are strategic and driven. We also expect you to have good organizational skills, be results-oriented and have the ability to develop the business as well as support and motivate employees.
