Key role in electrical maintenance at SSAB Luleå

Do you want a leading role where you have the opportunity to influence and develop the work of Swedish industry? SSAB Luleå is now looking for a driven and committed manager for Electrical Maintenance at the Coking Plant - an important position to ensure operational reliability and quality in production. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

In the role of Electricity Manager at Koksverket, you will be a central part of the business. Over the next five years, the mission is to ensure that Koksverket continues to deliver at the highest level and develop a reliable and sustainable operation. You will have the opportunity to inspire and help shape both current and future ways of working, while leading a competent team in an exciting industrial environment.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with both the operations and maintenance organization and other functions within the company. You are part of Koksverket's management team and have great opportunities to influence both strategy and working methods.

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and leadership, and want to be involved in driving development forward. You have relevant post-secondary education in electricity or equivalent experience and are authorized to lead electrical work in heavy industry. Experience from an industrial environment and work with high voltage is meritorious.

Take the chance to influence and develop together with us at SSAB Luleå - here awaits a workplace where commitment, responsibility and cooperation are at the center.

SSAB is facing an exciting transformation where a new fossil-free plant is planned to be completed in 2029. You get to be involved from the beginning, see the changes from the inside and contribute to building SSAB's fossil-free transition.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the electrical maintenance department, focusing on both team and individual development.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability in close collaboration with the production unit.
  • Drive the work of developing working methods, processes and creating an inspiring work environment.
  • Develop the team's skills and ensure that both internal and external customer requirements are met.
  • Contribute to an open, inclusive and motivating work climate where well-being and commitment are obvious elements.

About you

  • You have a genuine interest in leadership and technology.
  • You want to be involved in building the steel industry of the future.
  • You have a post-secondary education in electricity or equivalent knowledge.
  • You are qualified to lead electrical work in heavy industry.
  • You preferably have experience in an industrial environment and work with high voltage.
  • You are a clear, driving and strategic leader who motivates and coordinates your team even in times of change.
  • You have the ability to prioritize, structure and create results together with others.
  • You are responsive, open and positive, with a natural ability to build trust and communicate in dialogue.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English.
