You will work together with experienced and committed colleagues, where we put a strong focus on the transformation SSAB is facing. Location Luleå

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

The business has total responsibility for the operation and maintenance of high-voltage plants and systems for supplying all internal processes within SSAB and other companies in the industrial area. The facilities include everything from DC systems and low-voltage facilities (24-690V), to high-voltage facilities (3-145 kV).

You will be part of the Electricity Distribution section within the Central Maintenance department and work with system operation, renewal and maintenance of high-voltage facilities up to 145 kV.

You will be an important part of long-term competence transfer to ensure the operation of the business and future renewal of facilities. The area of responsibility and the facilities extend over the entire industrial area and are located both indoors and outdoors.

The work includes both planned and emergency measures, commissioning, supervision, permit control and functional testing as well as installation work on both low and high voltage.

The tasks also include preparation, planning and ordering of work both internal and external. Participate in drawing up reports and participate in investigations of both errors and events. Management of computerized systems for, among other things, station control, relay protection, electrical energy measurement and collection is also an important part of the business.

On standby duty, operational management duties are also maintained with responsibility for coordinating and implementing emergency operational changes and fault correction.

The working hours are daytime and eventually possibly included in scheduled standby duty.

Your main responsibilities

  • Work with system operation, renewal and maintenance of high voltage installations
  • Planning and emergency measures
  • Commissioning, supervision, condition monitoring, functional testing and installation work both in low and high voltage

  • You have experience in the installation/assembly of high-voltage equipment and/or control installations.
  • You have electrical engineering training in electrical power or similar, as well as experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of high-voltage installations.
