As a distribution electrician, you will be an important part of our technical team and will work with the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical systems throughout SSAB’s entire operational area. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our electrical distribution systems operate safely and reliably, thereby contributing to a stable power supply for our operations. Location: Luleå.

As a distribution electrician, you’ll be an important part of our technical team and will work with the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical systems throughout SSAB’s operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our electrical distribution systems operate safely and reliably, thereby contributing to a stable power supply for our operations.
The work is varied and includes both scheduled and emergency assignments. Your work will include high-voltage installations, switchgear, substation systems, and control systems, as well as the use of computerized systems for substation control, relay protection, and electricity metering.
Your main areas of responsibility
- Planned and emergency measures in electricity distribution
- Operational changes, inspections, permit checks, and functional testing
- Troubleshooting and servicing of electrical installations
- Installation work in both low- and high-voltage systems
- Use of computerized systems for substation control, relay protection, and electricity metering
About You

Requirements:
- Education in electrical engineering (electrical and energy program or equivalent)
- Experience with the installation, operation, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems.
- Class B driver’s license
Desirable:
- Experience working with high-voltage equipment and control systems
- Knowledge of electrical energy metering and computerized control systems
- Previous experience in industrial operations
