About the position

As an electrical technician, you work closely with production with both preventive and corrective maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment. You plan and prepare maintenance work, carry out troubleshooting and contribute to technical improvements that increase availability and safety. The work is done in collaboration with other technicians and the Strategic Responsible Technician, always according to SSAB's procedures for safety, health and environment.

Your main responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare maintenance of cranes and lifting devices.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and remedial maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Work with preventive maintenance and improvements in production equipment.
  • Analyze malfunctions and propose long-term measures.
  • Manage spare parts and resources to support production needs.
  • Work both independently and in teams during major operations.

About you

  • You are analytical, responsible and safety-conscious.
  • Collaborate well but can also work independently.
  • Service-oriented
  • Communicative and take initiative for improvements
  • The job also involves working at heights, so you need to be comfortable with that.
  • Technical secondary or higher education and ECY Certificate
  • Experience in electrical installations and industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in e.g. switchgear, electric motors, relays and frequency converters (ABB/Siemens).
  • Driving license at least class B.
  • Previous experience of working with cranes, overhead cranes or other lifting equipment, troubleshooting in PLC and relay technology, experience of maintenance systems, preferably IFS8, good knowledge of the Office package and understanding of electrical control systems in industry.
