We are looking for an environmental engineer who wants to help drive environmental work in an industry that is facing major changes. As part of our environmental team, you will work closely with the organization and contribute with specialist expertise in the environmental field. Location Luleå

As an environmental engineer, you belong to the Business Development department, Environment section, where you will be part of a team that works closely with the business in both operational and strategic environmental issues. We are responsible for permit and notification cases and work continuously to develop and improve the environmental performance of the business and compliance with environmental legislation.

In the role, you will work broadly in the environmental field with everything from monitoring, analysis and reporting to investigations and support in ongoing projects and change initiatives. You will collaborate with several parts of the organization and contribute with specialist expertise in issues related to the environment and sustainable development. The assignment also includes work with contaminated areas, where you contribute to investigations, risk assessments and action planning.

Your main responsibilities

• Support the line organization with specialist expertise in the environment
• Drive permit and notification cases
• Participate as an expert in projects
• Responsible for follow-up, analysis, calculations and reporting
• Initiate and conduct investigations in the environmental field
• Manage and support the investigation of deviations and incidents
• Contribute to the development of working methods and governance in the environmental field

About you

• Relevant university education in environment, chemistry or similar
• Experience in environment-related work, preferably from industry and/or consulting role
• Good knowledge of environmental legislation and permit processes
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Good analytical skills
• Experience working both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
