I am Eva Wuopio Sjödin, your new manager, and I look forward to welcoming you to our team! We work to drive environmental and energy issues forward and contribute to concrete improvements together with the organization. Right now we are in a particularly exciting phase with a focus on the transition to fossil-free production. We work both independently and in close collaboration. In major investigations and compilations, we work together to ensure high quality and create consensus. We value commitment, knowledge sharing and an open climate where everyone contributes.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.
