About the Position

As a coordinator and inspector of personal fall protection in the Fall Protection section, you will serve as an expert resource supporting the business’s personal fall protection efforts. Through expert guidance, you will help ensure that the business complies with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations and legal requirements for fall protection and fall protection equipment. You will also contribute to risk prevention efforts.

You will lead the process of scheduling and conducting inspections of personal fall protection equipment, which means you will have many points of contact throughout our exciting organization.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that we offer and conduct up-to-date training in fall protection and confined space work.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan the annual schedule for inspections of personal fall protection equipment
• Planning the annual schedule for scheduling external contractors to inspect our fixed fall protection systems within the organization
• Providing support to the organization regarding personal fall protection
• Collect personal fall protection equipment, inspect it, and document the results
• Order fall protection products
• Coordinate training programs related to fall protection and confined spaces
• Establish requirements for training providers and ensure the quality of training content
• Conduct training sessions on fall protection and confined spaces
• You will also have the opportunity for professional development in additional training areas

About You

• We prefer that you have completed fall protection training and confined space training.
• You have knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation related to personal protective equipment
• It is advantageous if you have a good understanding of the facilities within SSAB’s area
• You have strong interpersonal skills and teaching abilities.
• It is a plus if you have completed the “Competent Person” training in accordance with EN 365 (inspection of personal fall protection equipment)
