About the Position

In the role of Manager of the Electrical Maintenance Section at the Coke Plant, you will play a central role in the operation. Over the next five years, your mission will be to ensure that the Coke Plant continues to deliver at the highest level and to develop reliable and sustainable operations. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire and help shape both current and future ways of working, while leading a skilled team in an exciting industrial environment.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with both the operations and maintenance organizations as well as other functions within the company. You will be part of the coking plant’s management team and have significant opportunities to influence both strategy and work practices.

SSAB is undergoing an exciting transformation, with a new fossil-free facility scheduled to be completed in 2029. You’ll be part of it from the very beginning, witnessing the changes from the inside and helping to build SSAB’s fossil-free transition.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical maintenance department, with a focus on both team and individual development
• Ensure high availability and operational reliability in close collaboration with the production unit
• Drive efforts to develop work methods and processes and create an inspiring work environment
• Develop the team’s expertise and ensure that both internal and external customer requirements are met
• Contribute to an open, inclusive, and motivating work environment where job satisfaction and engagement are natural elements.

About You

• You have a high school diploma with passing grades in core subjects; post-secondary education in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus
• Previous work experience in the electrical or industrial sectors, as well as leadership experience—whether as a manager or in another leadership role—is a plus
• You have a genuine interest in leadership and technology and are a clear leader who sets direction by translating strategy into concrete priorities. You develop teams through trust and involvement and drive results through accountability and commitment
• You are responsive, open-minded, and positive
• You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English
