We are looking for a Head of Logistics Development who has previous experience in managing and developing production flows and with an interest in logistics flows. The organization you lead is at the interface with strategy, digitalization, product development, transition and operational IT.

In the role, you will lead a cross-functional team of nine development engineers and together you are responsible for developing flows and logistics throughout the manufacturing at SSAB Special Steels in Oxelösund. Welcome with your application!

About the position

As Head of Logistics Development, you will lead, improve and develop the flow in the organization. This is an exciting role where you drive projects by analyzing and executing against strategic objectives for the flow, such as delivery reliability, lead times and stock levels. The organization spans the entire production in Oxelösund with the emphasis on sheet metal production. In the role, you have insight into both the production-related challenges and improvement work as well as in the more strategic and long-term issues. You will also be an important part of the logistics organization's continued work to support the sustainability journey that SSAB has begun. You will work cross-functionally together with experienced and competent colleagues and report directly to the Head of Logistics/Director Logistics.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of flows and logistics throughout the manufacturing in Oxelösund.
  • Lead and develop the team of nine driven development engineers.
  • Lead the cross-functional team working with structured gap analysis and activities to achieve strategic goals.
  • Responsible for the continued implementation of the flow improvement work.
  • Responsible for tools for simulation, analysis and production follow-up.
  • Ensure adapted tools for the needs of the business.
  • Develop the group's capabilities around planning, analysis, simulation.
  • Responsible for interfaces with strategy, digitization, product development, the transition and operational IT.

About you

  • To succeed in the role, you are probably a trained civil engineer or equivalent.
  • We see that you have several years of experience in leading in production, planning, logistics flows and are used to project management.
  • More advantageous to have knowledge of Lean and experience of change management. - As a leader, you dare to change and challenge and like to build relationships. In the role, you will need to communicate with different parts of the organization so it is important to be adaptable and curious
  • You have a clear delivery focus and achieve your goals by driving development with energy and drive.
  • We would like you to have an interest in IT and complex system solutions as we are in the middle of a journey of change.
  • As a person, you are creative, committed and interested in leading the business forward and daring to think outside the box.
