Do you want to help shape the future of steel production in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real difference? We are now looking for you to lead a dedicated team in our steel mill. As Head of Operations Service Crude Steel, you will work closely with both people and processes - with the goal of creating a workplace where well-being, job satisfaction, safety and stable production go hand in hand. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the position
In this role, you have the overall responsibility for the Raw Steel Operation Service, which is an important part of Production Support within the Steelworks. You have personnel responsibility for a team of 11 employees and are responsible for a specific process area within the business. The team works both daytime and shifts.
In addition to leadership, you act as a production technician with a focus on ensuring high productivity and quality. You drive systematic work with deviation management and are a key person in building a culture where continuous improvements and common working methods are natural parts of everyday life. You are also responsible for consumables linked to your area of responsibility.
