SSAB is facing a historic shift in steel manufacturing in connection with the transition to fossil-free production. This creates new opportunities and challenges for us at the laboratory in Luleå. To prepare for the future, we need to strengthen the organization and are therefore looking for a Section Manager for Wet Chemistry and Raw Materials. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

You will be part of a group consisting of laboratory technicians, laboratory engineers and sample and analysis preparers. The group assists the entire production with analyzes and expert knowledge in sampling, sample preparation and analysis of raw materials, process and environmental water. The laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025, which places high demands on quality and reliability in our analyzes.

The role includes working with the team to develop the business to meet our customers' needs. You create, together with your team, a high level of trust with our internal customers and contribute to a working environment characterized by well-being, cooperation and job satisfaction.

You will also be part of the laboratory's management team.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations within wet chemistry and raw materials.
  • Independently drive improvement work within the business.
  • Lead, coach and develop your team.
  • Responsible for issues related to work environment, environment and goal and strategy work.

About you

  • Education with a focus on chemistry or equivalent is a merit.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment, preferably within an accredited organization according to ISO/IEC 17025, is meritorious.
  • Experience of leadership is meritorious.
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • B driving license is a requirement.
  • You are a clear leader with a structured and systematic approach.
