About the position

The hot rolling mill process consists of material handling, heating, pre-pairing, rolling, reeling and roll handling.

You will be part of the rolling management team with other section managers and be involved in making decisions and influencing our common direction and development.

Together with the rest of the organization, you develop the business, with the goal of safely rolling steel with good quality in a timely manner to our customers. Your operators work shifts around the clock, as a 1st line manager you work daytime in a varied and dynamic environment. You will have many contacts in a large internal network.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and develop your staff and management team
• Strategies, investments and budget for the area
• Responsible for the last step of hot rolling, here the sheet is rolled into a fine coil roll and quality checks are carried out to ensure that the downstream stage can further process the products, it places great demands on equipment and our employees' skills.

About you

• You have work experience as a manager/leader, preferably in industry or similar activities.
• You have at least an upper secondary education, but preferably higher studies in a relevant field or equivalent documented knowledge. If you have training or experience in leading change, it is meritorious.
• You have the ability to lead and take the initiative by taking responsibility for your section in various issues that arise.
• You have the ability to analyze and prioritize from a holistic perspective and the best interests of the business.
• You have good communication skills and are easy to work with, you understand the meaning and importance of close leadership.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English and have an easy time expressing yourself in speech and writing.
