Are you the one?

Do you want an exciting and important role that makes a difference? In the role of HR Specialist, it is of great importance that you are coaching, and that you are driven by developing people and seeing results. Location Borlänge.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

SSAB is looking for a committed and experienced HR specialist in rehabilitation and work environment to our team in Borlänge. In this role, you will work to operationally support and develop our managers by offering factual knowledge and professional pre-rehabilitation and rehabilitation support in the event of sick leave or where there are signals of risk of sick leave.

You will be a key person in SSAB Borlänge's work to create a clear, efficient and qualitative process for the individual. The service is largely operational, but there is also great scope for working with the development and improvement of our working methods, templates, routines and skills within the company.

You will belong to a team of four HR Partners where you all report to the same manager. You will work closely with SSAB Borlänge's negotiators, work environment engineers and the trade unions. You will also collaborate with your corresponding colleagues at the other production sites, mainly in Luleå and Oxelösund. There may also be the opportunity to be HR Partner for a smaller area if the profile fits.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the rehabilitation process and ensure that it complies with applicable laws and guidelines, and is harmonized as far as possible with other locations in Sweden (mainly Oxelösund and Luleå).
  • Coordinate and conduct rehabilitation meetings with employees, managers and other relevant parties. Provide support and advice to managers and employees on issues related to rehabilitation and work adaptation.
  • Coordinate and conduct training in rehabilitation for managers and other relevant parties.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce sick leave and promote health and well-being in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with occupational health services and other external actors to ensure an effective rehabilitation process and that the agreement is fulfilled according to the set SLA.
  • Responsible for the random alcohol and drug checks that take place by external actors, that procedures are followed and that the agreement is fulfilled according to the set SLA.
  • Participate in internal forums linked to this topic such as our Social and Organizational Work Environment Committee, Drugs, Alcohol and Rehabilitation Council, etc.
  • Take responsibility in the investigation process of the OSA-related cases (discrimination and harassment cases) reported in the system.
  • Develop KPIs, analyze and set activities when needed.

About you

  • Relevant university education in HR, work environment, health or similar.
  • Experience of working with rehabilitation and work adaptation, preferably in larger companies.
  • Experience of investigation in violation and discrimination cases according to one of the established methods.
  • Good knowledge of work environment legislation and rehabilitation processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take own initiatives.
  • High work ethic and ability to see solutions.
  • We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
