SSAB - Item planner - Central warehouse

Application due date 25 November 2025
Are you the one?

Are you a structured problem solver who thrives on order and orderliness and likes to collaborate with many different functions? We are now looking for an article planner for the Central Supply at the Central Maintenance department in Luleå. Here you will have an important role in ensuring that the right material is in the right place - and contribute to developing our working methods and routines.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As an item planner, you are responsible for planning and maintaining approximately 6000 items in our internal system IFS. You monitor the purchase request, assess the need for re-purchasing and manage the setup and updating of new stock items.

You work closely with purchasing, suppliers, goods receipt and other internal functions, and have an important role in ensuring that the material flow works efficiently and safely. The position also includes chemical management in Chemgroup and responsibility as a manager for flammable goods - which means that you ensure proper storage, handling and risk assessment.

You will also support other departments in their use of the system and participate in improvement work within the warehouse operations. As a newcomer to the role, you will receive a thorough induction and walk alongside an experienced colleague.

Your main responsibilities

  • Plan and maintain items in IFS.
  • Monitor purchase request and assess re-purchases.
  • Post and update stock items.
  • Manage chemicals in Chemgroup and be the manager for flammable goods.
  • Participate in and drive improvement work in warehouse operations.
  • Support other departments in system use.
  • Participate in meetings regarding planning and contribute to knowledge exchange in article planning.

About you

  • You have an upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on logistics, technology or similar.
  • You have good computer skills and experience of warehouse management systems is an advantage.
  • You are thorough, structured and have a good sense of order.
  • You have good problem-solving skills and can work independently.
  • You are communicative, collaborative and enjoy having many contact surfaces.
  • You have a practical understanding of production and material flows.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken Swedish.
  • A B license is a requirement.
