About the position

In Luleå, we are establishing a modern and future-oriented business for materials testing, and as a laboratory engineer you will have a central role in developing how we work with mechanical testing. You will help shape the lab's working methods, ensure high quality in our analyses and ensure that our products maintain the level required in a global market.

You will contribute to the development of sample preparation and testing methods and participate in the introduction of new equipment. You will also be an important part of our work towards ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, helping us to build a robust and reliable business.

Your main responsibilities

• Build competence and working methods in mechanical testing.
• Responsible for the laboratory's testing methods.
• Act as an internal contact person in testing-related issues.
• Ensure quality in testing methods and working methods.
• Train and support colleagues in testing methods and routines.

About you

• High school or engineering education in materials science or other relevant technical field.
• Experience in mechanical testing such as tensile, impact, bending or hardness testing (meritorious).
• Preferably experience in quality work according to ISO/IEC 17025, with strong quality awareness and focus on reliable results.
• - Problem-solving and development-driven attitude, with a willingness to improve methods and drive technology development forward.
• Ability to take own initiatives and work independently when needed.
• Easy to collaborate and build good relationships in a team-oriented lab and production context.
• Good communication skills, both in documentation and verbal feedback.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• B driving license (requirement).
