To become part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

In the role, you work systematically and data-driven to strengthen operational safety and develop maintenance work.

You analyze recurring problems, lead improvement initiatives, optimize maintenance plans and participate in technical projects and modernizations. You contribute to safe operations and are also responsible for overall environmental issues related to maintenance, including environmental analysis and improvement work for sustainable operations.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop maintenance processes and drive technical improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop preventive actions.
  • Work with availability data and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate closely with production and central functions.
  • Work actively with safety issues.
  • Drive and develop environmental issues linked to maintenance.

About you

  • You have an engineering degree. We see it as a merit if your degree is in maintenance technology, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • If you also have experience of industrial maintenance, it is a merit.
  • You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • You are curious and analytical with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • You have a systematic and structured way of working.
  • You have good computer skills.
  • You have a commitment to safety, quality and improvement work.
