Now we are looking for you who want to work with mechanical maintenance for section UH Steelworks. You will act as technical support for daytime mechanics, machine operators and emergency equipment working shifts.

About the position

You will work with the preparation and planning of maintenance work as well as preventive maintenance in mechanical engineering where the focus is on continuous improvements. You will also get to work with the upcoming parallel operation with the new plant being built here at the Steelworks. You will work with colleagues in different operations. The group you will belong to consists of 7 technicians, of which 2 are focused on media, 1 on crane mechanics and 4 are focused on mechanics. In the team, colleagues also work on the contractor side in hydraulics, pipe welding and mechanics.

Your main responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement work.
  • Analyze occurring disturbances and develop proposals for action.
  • Plan maintenance stops in consultation with the operations organization.
  • Keep you updated daily on the status of the facilities.
  • Participate in facility projects.
  • Develop proposals for long-term maintenance plan and budget for your area.


About you

  • You are a mechanic or technician with a few years of experience.
  • You have an interest in technology and want to work with development and improvements.
  • You thrive in a coordinating role with both administrative and practical elements.
  • You are a team player and value communication and collaboration.
  • You enjoy varied days and new challenges.
