You’ll be part of a team responsible for preventive maintenance at the Sheet Metal unit. Location: Oxelösund.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future—in our homes, in the bridges connecting our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we’re proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we’re aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production process and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and thereby contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the Position
As a technician, you’ll work closely with production teams to perform preventive maintenance at our facilities, where you’ll practically analyze, identify, and implement improvements to production equipment. You will participate in projects that develop our facilities to meet requirements related to the environment, machine efficiency, and production capacity.

We always put safety first, and you will perform your work in accordance with SSAB’s procedures and processes for safety, health, and the environment. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for a part of SSAB’s operations in Oxelösund, work collaboratively with your team, and see how your results contribute to the bigger picture.
