Would you like to lead the development of maintenance operations for the entire SSAB Luleå facility—in close collaboration with the business? As Section Manager for Maintenance Development at SSAB Luleå, you’ll play a central role in creating structure, direction, and long-term sustainability in SSAB Luleå’s maintenance operations. You will lead the development of the maintenance process with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality—and work closely with the business to put shared priorities into practice. We’re looking for someone who wants to lead alongside others and who thrives in a hands-on role where you combine a strategic, big-picture perspective with the ability to turn decisions and improvements into reality.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future—in our homes, in the bridges that connect our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we’re proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we’re aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production process and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and thereby contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As Head of Maintenance Development, you have overall responsibility for developing and monitoring the maintenance process for the entire SSAB Luleå facility. You will lead the department toward established goals and the long-term plan for how maintenance work will evolve over time.
The role involves continuously analyzing the current situation, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that decisions, work methods, and priorities are implemented in an efficient and sustainable manner throughout the organization. You will work closely with other managers and departments to build consensus and establish a shared direction.
Your understanding of maintenance is a key foundation for seeing the big picture and developing work methods together with others. You provide vital support to the business as it undergoes change and actively work to create a more unified, modern, and efficient maintenance organization.
