Application due date 20 April 2026
Are you the one?

Do you want to work as a section manager for our raw material planning at Metallurgin? Here you get a role where you will be part of our unique transition linked to creating and developing new ways of working for the new metallurgy, evaluating the new raw materials while balancing with the old metallurgy flow. You will lead a team of both officials and operators - a group that works together to find new alternative raw materials to secure production in the future and evaluate the raw materials we already have today both from a quality and cost perspective. Welcome with your application. Location Oxelösund.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the operational side while working strategically and long-term linked to what the future supply of raw materials should look like. It is of great importance that we have the right raw materials and of the right amount in place because it ultimately results in us being able to produce steel grades of the right quality.

You will be part of the management team for the Production Planning Metallurgy department where you are expected to contribute with your experience and knowledge to enable further development of our business and our working methods. The management team also provides the opportunity for support and development in your role.

You will have personnel responsibility over both operators and officials. The operators are responsible for receiving alloys, slag formers and materials, as well as quality assurance and inventory management to then supply production with these. The officials' responsibility is to contribute to developing working methods, forecasting and calling off raw material needs in constant dialog with production.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and coach the team and the business.
  • Active work with safety issues and work environment, act on and follow up deviations in a structured way.
  • Collaborate within and outside the organization at all levels.
  • Set and follow up goals.

About you

  • It is meritorious if you have a relevant education such as an engineer or equivalent work experience.
  • To succeed in the role, we prefer that you have a few years of experience of being a manager and preferably with a background from similar industries.
  • We believe that you are confident as a person, dare to make decisions and through good examples can get others to follow.
  • It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience from SSAB's operations.
  • You have good collaboration skills and are coaching and structured as a manager.
