About the position

SSAB is facing a historic transition in steel production and the transition to fossil-free steel creates new opportunities and challenges. We are looking for a manager who wants to be part of that journey - in both high and low. The testing organization in Oxelösund conducts chemical, mechanical and metallographic testing with associated labs to support the total testing needs of the site and the business. The group you lead acts as engineering support to all three lab areas, which includes method development, quality follow-up and validation according to ISO 17025.

Your main responsibilities

• Together with your team, act as an expert in both internal and external contexts
• Responsibility for the activities of the metallographic lab
• Lead and develop your team so that competence, drive and initiative are utilized, drive and initiative are utilized

About you

To succeed in the role, we believe that you have an academic degree in materials technology or chemistry alt. We believe that you have a few years of experience in being a manager and have an interest in team development and leadership.

You are responsive to the needs of the business and understand the value of being able to deliver reliable results to our customers.

As we are a global organization with a strong local anchor - you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English.

If you have experience in accredited operations, it is meritorious.
