We are looking for a mechanic for our maintenance organization at SSAB in Borlänge with local placement at our lines for format cutting.
Do you have experience of preventive and remedial mechanical maintenance in heavy industry? Are you careful, driven and enjoy working both individually and in groups? We are looking for you with a great commitment and technical interest. Does this sound like you? You will work in a highly competent group of colleagues in electrical and mechanical engineering. Welcome with your application today!
To become part of the SSAB family means to join a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
In Maintenance Format, about 30 people work in two sections dealing with mechanical and electrical maintenance. As support there are also planners, preparers and technicians.
We work in a planned way and our main task is to take care of preventive maintenance on the cutting lines at Format. Improvement work is part of everyday life.
As a mechanic, you mainly perform work with preventive maintenance and condition checks of all existing mechanical equipment in the field and are therefore an important cog in the preventive maintenance work. You also have a great understanding of, among other things, hygiene factors, tribology, measurement technology and maintenance systems.
The working hours are daytime with the possibility of flex.
