Are you the one?

The previous generation of industrial IT systems needs to be phased out and as a .NET developer you are involved in creating the new solutions that have a high level of reliability and enable improvements in production processes. Location Luleå.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a .NET developer, you will be part of our system development team that is responsible for the production-related IT systems. Together with other colleagues, you are responsible for the design, development, testing and operation of the IT systems that monitor and control the production processes at SSAB Luleå.

We believe that you are both passionate about technology and making technology work together with people. You are interested in understanding how the IT systems interact with the production processes in order to be able to develop solution proposals that solve the needs of production.

We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Your main responsibilities

  • You work together with your colleagues in a development team where you develop IT systems that support the needs of production.
  • You have an ongoing dialogue with end users and create solutions that are easy to use and simplify everyday life for those working in production.

About you

  • You have a degree in a field related to computer science or equivalent work experience
  • You have experience of development in C#/.NET.
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • Experience with industrial IT systems (MES, SCADA) is a plus.
